Our Aims


West Somerset & Exmoor Bridleways Association aims are to improve access to new and existing bridleways and other rights of way across the West Somerset and Exmoor area.

The association are constantly liaising with authorities such as the Exmoor National Park and British Horse Society on all matters relating to safety and more accessible riding.

We organise fun rides for members and non-members, plus offer a variety of self-guided ride routes to our members.

British Horse Society Premium Affiliates

West Somerset & Exmoor Bridleways Association are a British Horse Society (BHS) affiliated Equestrian Access Group. These groups work across the UK to defend, extend and promote safe, easily accessible off-road riding for everyone. The BHS has around 110 affiliated equestrian access groups across the UK working on behalf of all riders and carriage drivers to campaign for improved off-road riding. These BHS affiliates help to uphold the BHS values and promote equestrian access at a grass-roots level, monitoring local equestrian rights of way and working alongside local authorities and other groups.
